Kilimanjaro National Park

Mount Kilimanjaro is famous as the highest peak in Africa. It consists of three peaks: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira, with the highest point reaching 5,895 meters. By the way, the Kilimanjaro region is also famous for coffee production, so I’m sure many of you have tried it at least once.

Ngorongoro
Conservation Area

The natural reserve located at the bottom of the magnificent crater is a wildlife treasure trove. On safari tours, you can see the “Big 5” animals including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. Surrounded by the outer rim of the crater, this environment is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is an ideal place for those who seek the mysteries of nature.

ARUSHA REGIONAL

A town located at the foothills of Mount Meru. It is close to the border with Kenya and serves as a key hub for transportation and logistics. It is also near Kilimanjaro International Airport and boasts first-class hotels and international conference facilities. With many tourists visiting, safari vehicles are a common sight. The town is bustling with numerous shops and lively activity.

KigaliThe capital city of Kigali (Central Area)

Compact yet clean, the roads are regularly swept by cleaning staff. In the bustling downtown area, you’ll find shopping malls and a variety of shops where you can purchase everyday items and miscellaneous goods.

Kigali Convention Centre

Located in the heart of the bustling downtown area, this landmark of the capital city of Kigali is surrounded by shopping malls, offering an enjoyable shopping experience. At night, it lights up with vibrant colors, so be sure to visit.

Kimironko Market

A large market where you can find local vegetables, fruits, and household goods. There are plenty of souvenirs available, and many tailors offer made-to-order clothing, allowing you to choose fabrics and have garments tailored to your preferences. (Example: If you have extra time in your itinerary, you can place an order on the first day and pick it up a week later.)

Model Itineraries1 week in Tanzania

Model plan for staying in Tanzania for about a week

DAY 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport ⇒ Overnight in Arusha, explore the historic streetscape.
You can enjoy a close-up view of the magnificent Mount Meru.

DAY 2

Morning: Purchase snacks and drinks in Arusha town and travel by safari car. Along the way, enjoy views of savanna-like landscapes. During the dry season, you’ll see cacti and vast exposed lands, while the rainy season offers lush greenery. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a family of elephants coming to drink water at a nearby watering hole. Cross over small hills/mountains to reach the breathtaking Lake Manyara. Take commemorative photos at viewpoints.

Lunch: Break at the Visitor Center/Restaurant.

Afternoon: Check-in at the hotel and explore the surroundings.

Dinner: Amidst the tranquility of the night, with lamps, candles, and a starry sky above. Enjoy a luxurious and serene time while feeling the grandeur of nature, such as the sounds of animals in the distance.

DAY 3

Early morning: Enjoy the fresh air and breakfast at the hotel.

Morning: Explore TANJA Farm Observe morning activities such as coffee drying on African beds / Explore three farms (Tingatinga, Shah, Burkfreuden)
Take commemorative photos at photogenic spots! Encounter monkeys occasionally!? / Cupping: Indulge in the luxurious pleasure of enjoying delicious coffee in the coffee farm / Learn about the history of TANJA Farm

Lunch: At the hotel or nearby hotels. There are many luxury hotels in the tourist area.

Afternoon: Coffee tasting at TANJA Farm (experience how the taste varies depending on the processing method and find your favorite)

Dinner: At the hotel restaurant
Many safari tour guests from overseas visit, and live performances are held for hotel guests.

DAY 4

Early morning: Safari tour to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater and experience firsthand how animals coexist in this unique environment. You can witness carnivores and herbivores fostering a fascinating symbiotic relationship right before your eyes. The guided tour is led by experienced guides who work together to take you to the animals’ locations. The animals come up close to the vehicle.

Lunch: Enjoy a lunch box prepared by the hotel.

Afternoon: Stop by TANJA Farm and purchase coffee beans as souvenirs.

DAY 5

Morning: After breakfast, take a final stroll around the hotel surroundings before departing for Arusha.

Afternoon: Arrival in Arusha. Enjoy the streetscape of Arusha and make some last-minute souvenir purchases while savoring the final night in Tanzania. Overnight stay in Arusha.

DAY 6

Morning: From Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport

Optional tour* For those interested in climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and with some flexibility in their schedule, we highly recommend adding a visit to Mount Kilimanjaro.
* You can also travel to Kenya by road using safari vehicles (immigration clearance required).
